Homemade Pupsicle Frosty-Paws
Pupsicle Frosty-Paws are a ginormous hit at our house! Our fur-family are CrA-zAy for these things and we’re fans too since they’re so easy to make!
You can make frozen doggie treats in a variety of ways. For small dogs and a quick and easy pupsicle solution, you can simply pour your liquid mix into an ice cube tray. Then once frozen, you can pop out little ice cube-shaped treats for your pooch. You can also make homemade pupsicles using small paper cups and dog bone shaped treats like we do (pictured above). Or if you have a few used yogurt containers, or a styrofoam egg carton in your recycling bin, those would work well too.
If you want to get fanciful, you can buy special dog bone popsicle molds that make the process super easy.
32 ounces vanilla yogurt
3 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 four ounce jar of banana baby food
3 tablespoons apple sauce
1 Tbs of honey
1. Put the peanut butter in a microwave safe dish and microwave until melted.
2. Mix the yogurt and the melted peanut butter, applesauce and banana in a bowl.
3. Divide up the mixture evenly among ice cube trays, paper cups, or whatever else you have handy, and freeze. The amount for each cup will depend on your dog’s size and how much you want him to have.
Pupsicle Frosty-Paws, Yum!
